The Radicati Group, of Palo Alto, California, takes a broad view of the compliance solution market. It lumps together the anti-spam, email archiving, IM management vendors and "pure-play" vendors, which, I gather, includes Sarbox-specific solutions and the GRC market [1]. So how big is the market? The firm says it will reach $674 million in 2007 and grow to $2.4 billion by 2011. That's a compound annual growth rate of nearly 40 percent. There's always some room for statistical fudging, but there's every reason to think we're still in a boom market here. Many companies have deployed a lot of technology and will continue to do so. As small companies ramp up and as regulations proliferate, we may get another flame adding to the fire.
